Tina Freese Decker, MHA, MSIE, FACHE

President & CEO, Spectrum Health System

Tina Freese Decker is the President & Chief Executive Officer of Spectrum Health System, an $8 billion integrated health system with a medical group, health plan and 14 hospitals employing 31,000 individuals in Michigan.

Over her 19 years serving Spectrum Health in various strategic and operational roles, Tina has developed a track record for cultivating culture and driving strategy. She is committed to building a health system that celebrates and reinforces diversity, equity and inclusion for team members, patients, families and members.

As President & CEO, she has successfully implemented a new mission, vision and values. This foundational strategic work has been instrumental to improving health and access, lowering costs and reducing health inequities.

Tina’s awards include Modern Healthcare’s 2021 Top 25 Women Leaders in Healthcare; Grand Rapids Business Journal’s 50 Most Influential Women in West Michigan in 2020; Crain’s Detroit Business’ 2019 Health Care Heroes award and 2018 Most Notable Women in Health Care; and Managed Healthcare Executive’s 10 Emerging Healthcare Industry Leaders 2018. Frequently invited as a contributor, Tina’s recent articles include “Reimagining the Future of Healthcare” (ACHE), “Creating a better normal for our communities” (Modern Healthcare,) “Seven Paradoxes for Effective Leadership” (HealthLeaders) and “Leading Health Care Towards Greater Health Equity” (BoardRoom Press).

She earned a Bachelor of Science in finance from Iowa State University and graduated with a Master of Health Administration and Master of Industrial Engineering from the University of Iowa.

Julie Fream, MBA

Board Chair, Beaumont Health

Julie FreamJulie Fream is the chair of the Board of Directors at Beaumont Health, Michigan’s largest health care system, based on inpatient admissions and net patient revenue. She is a founding member of the Beaumont Health Board.

Since 2013, Fream has also been the president and CEO of the Original Equipment Suppliers Association. The association represents the voice of automotive suppliers and champions their business interests. Fream has spent four decades of her career in automotive, including roles for both manufacturers and suppliers in manufacturing, engineering, program management, sales, marketing and communications.

In addition, she is a member of several vehicle manufacturer supplier councils, representing the interests of the automotive supplier community.

In 2016, Crain’s Detroit Business recognized Fream as one of “Michigan’s Most Influential Women.” In 2015 and 2020, she was listed as one of the “100 Leading Women in the Automotive Industry” by the Automotive News. She also serves on the board of First Robotics and the Automotive Hall of Fame.

Fream has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Michigan Technological University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.

She and her husband, Robert Lawrence, live in Beverly Hills. They have two adult children.
